1st Grade Classes Visit German American State Bank

Ms.Genandt and Mrs. Joy's 1st grade classes visited German American State Bank in German Valley on Monday, April 11th. Mrs. Edler's 1st grade class visited on Tuesday, April 19th. The classes went to see the different aspects of and how the bank operates, what the different areas of the bank are, etc. They showed students the drive-through and how that works, the vault (where one of their safe deposit boxes had a surprise for the kids—suckers!!!), the night drop, the safety cameras and how they are monitored. They also showed students what happens when someone comes in to make a deposit or cash a check. The bank has a new machine behind the teller line that the money goes into and comes out of (pictured). It was a fun learning experience for the students. Thank you to German American State Bank for allowing the 1st grade students to take a peek into the banking world!
