Candice Whitacre - Senior Spotlight

Your Full Name:  Candice Marie Whitacre

1.  What are your plans after high school (college, work force, future profession)?
I want to attend Rock Valley College for my Gen Eds.Then, I would like to transfer to NIU to study biology. For my future profession, I would like to become an oncologist.

2.  What was the biggest change for you between your freshman and senior year?

The homework was a huge eye opener for me. If you think it gets easier as you get older, trust me, it doesn't. The homework is a lot more time consuming and it requires a lot of critical thinking/determination.

3.  Which class challenged you the most and why?

Math classes challenged me most. Math has never come easily to me. It's a critical thinking class, and it takes a lot of determination, and I have that, but it just wasn't easy for me.

4.  What person do you look up to the most and why?
I look up to my dad. The reason is because he showed me to have an open heart and allow anyone to come in. He's the most hardest working person I've ever met.

5.  What will you miss most about Forreston High School?
I will miss being around my classmates. Even though we may not all get along, their presence will be missed, and it'll be hard getting used to them not being around every day of the week.

6.  What advice would you give incoming freshmen?

“Don't be that guy/girl”- Mrs. Magarity

Don't be stupid and cause drama; it'll make your time in high school a lot harder and not as enjoyable.
