2016-2017 Forreston High School College Signings

Bryan Edler, son of Bryan and Michele Edler, signed a letter of intent with Milwaukee School of Engineering.  Bryan will be joining the golf team.  As a Forreston Cardinal, Bryan was a four year varsity golfer.  Bryan advanced to Sectionals as an individual in 2014 and 2015.  Bryan earned MVP honors in 2014, 2015, and 2016.  The administration, coaches and student athletes of Forreston Jr/Sr High School wish Bryan congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic and athletic career at Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Alexia Gruhn, daughter of Robert and Jennifer Gruhn, signed a letter of intent with Loras College.  Alexia will be joining the cheer squad.  Alexia has been a football and basketball cheerleader for 4 years at Forreston High School.  She has won the spirit award for football and basketball cheer the last two years.  The administration, coaches and student athletes of Forreston Jr/Sr High School wish Alexia congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic and athletic career at Loras College.

Caleb Poffenberger, son of Erick and Sarah Poffenberger, signed a letter of intent with Aurora University.  Caleb will be joining the baseball team.  As a Forreston Cardinal, Caleb played baseball all four years of high school and was a 3 year varsity player.  Caleb received 2nd Team All-Conference honors in 2015 and 2016.  The administration, coaches and student athletes of Forreston Jr/Sr High School wish Caleb congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic and athletic carrer at Aurora University.

Emma Nelson, daughter of Shawn and Jennifer Nelson, signed a letter on intent with Elmhurst College.  Emma will be joining the basketball team at Elmhurst College.  As a Forreston Cardinal, Emma was a four year basketball player.  Emma suffered a season ending ACL injury during this past season, but is working very hard at rehab and looking forward to playing basketball at Elmhurst.  Emma earned the Cardinal Award and Most Improved Award in 2016-2017.  Emma also earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors in 2016.  The administration, coaches and student athletes of Forreston Jr/Sr High School wish Emma congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic and athletic career at Elmhurst College.

Peyton Sorn, daughter of Jeff Sorn and Jill DeVries, signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Highland Community College.  Peyton played four years of volleyball at Forreston High School.  The administration, coaches and student athletes of Forreston Jr/Sr High School wish Peyton congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic and athletic career at Highland Community College.
