Classroom Spotlight for Week of December 12th - Mrs. Frederick, Math FJH

Proportionality, additive inverse, variables, terms, rational numbers and distributive property are only a few of the concepts that 7th graders have been working on within the first semester.  These math students have been persevering through problems that relate to everyday life and involve integers and rational numbers.  They are currently working on applying the multiplication properties to complete distribution of fractions and combining like terms while remembering the integer rules.  It has been quite the process to put all of these steps together to solve one problem.  The 7th grade math students have also been utilizing the web-based program Moby Max to continue to practice their math skills.  They are awarded points based on the time they spend on the program and completing the lessons that have been assigned to them.
